Michael Scott is The Urbane Journalist, an urban researcher, speaker and writer with a passion for downtown, central-city issues. As a student of social trends, his mission is to serve as a catalyst for the growth and sustainability of urban centers throughout North America.

A voracious reader and lifetime learner, Michael has a B.A. in Sociology from the Ohio State University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of San Francisco. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and International Downtown Association. Michael was also named to the advisory board of the Washington D.C. based Revitaliz, a firm focusing on the revitalization of communities worldwide.
